The Hon. Governor,
Maharashtra State.

Mumbai 400 035.
Sub: Appointment of an OSD immediately to handle emergency financial aid from the Chief Ministers Relief Fund.
Respected Sir,
Due to the on-going deadlock between political parties in Maharashtra, the President’s rule came into effect in the state on Tuesday, November 12, 2019.
This has led to many repercussions, one of which is the temporary closure of the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund office.
A notice has been put out on the door stating, Chief Minister Relief Fund office is closed, don’t make any inquiries. (Photo attached).
Patients who had come from far off places, with a hope to receive financial aid from the CM relief fund, had to return empty-handed.
This will affect several patients in the state who desperately need this aid to help treat certain diseases.
Now the big question is, who will provide financial aid to these poor patients. Who will look after their concerns?
Chief Ministers Relief Fund aims at providing immediate relief to the people in distress in the State of Maharashtra as well as in the country. The Chief Minister Relief fund provides financial assistance to the people affected by the major natural calamities like flood, drought, fire accident etc.
It also provides financial assistance to the economically weaker citizens for treatment of some of the major diseases.
These poor and needy people are worst hit by the temporary closure of the office.
We request your good self to kindly look into the matter urgently and appoint an OSD to receive and process such applications so that emergency financial aid is not hampered to the needy people due to the political instability in the state.
Regards,
For Alert Citizens Forum of India,
