Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP)

Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) is a credit linked subsidy programme administered by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India. Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC), is the nodal agency at national level for implementation of the scheme.

Who can apply for a PMEGP loan?

Any individual who is above 18 years of age.

The person should have passed at least the 8th standard for a manufacturing sector project costing above Rs. ... 

Self Help Groups (even those falling under BPL provided that the SHG has not obtained benefits from another scheme)

10 lakh in the manufacturing sector and above Rs. 5 lakh in the business / service sector, the beneficiaries should possess at least VIII standard pass educational qualification. (iv) Assistance under the Scheme is available only for new projects sanctioned specifically under the PMEGP.

It is implemented jointly by the DIC (District Industries Centre), KVIC (Khadi and Village Industries Commission) and KVIB (Khadi and Village Industries Board).

Adjustment of margin money subsidy on working capital, that is, refund of the margin money subsidy on the difference between subsidy on the sanctioned cash credit limit and the subsidy on the admissible limit, should be undertaken at the end of the three year period from the date of first disbursal of the loan

Step 3: Take a printout of the application form.

Step 4: Submit the printout of the application form with the nearest office.
